Ayala’s Settlement with Michigan Attorney in Two Million PPE Scam Approved by The Southern District of Florida

By October 14, 2021No Comments

Ayala’s Settlement with one of the Defendants in a contentious dispute involving a two million dollar scam was approved by Judge Bloom of the Southern District of Florida.

The Settlement initially opposed by the Sadick Defendants (a Texas attorney and his law firm) was approved by the Court noting that “notwithstanding their objection, the Sadick Defendants have failed to identify any “clear legal prejudice” that would result if the
Tillman Defendants are dismissed from this action. See Pontenberg 252 F.3d at 1255-56 (“The crucial question to be determined is, Would the defendant lose any substantial right by the dismissal.” (quoting Durham v. Fla. E. Coast Ry. Co., 385 F.2d 366, 368 (5th Cir. 1967)). Order at p.3.

As stated by attorney Ayala: “We are satisfied with the Court’s decision, this will help us focus on the more active participants of this terrible fraud on our client.”
