Originally from Montenegro, Lucia Rajkovic is a senior at Florida International University, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in International Business. She is applying to law school this fall, with the goal of building a career as a corporate lawyer. As an intake and legal assistant at the firm, Lucia is gaining hands-on experience in client intake and legal support while sharpening the skills that will carry her into the next stage of her legal education.

Lucia’s path toward the law has been shaped by her experience across borders. Last summer, she interned with BDK Attorneys, a regional law firm covering corporate law, banking and finance, and litigation, and this past summer, she interned with Schoenherr, a full-service law firm covering corporate law, banking and finance, and real estate — experiences that deepened her interest in corporate and international law. At FIU, she serves as president and a founding member of Toastmasters, an organization dedicated to developing members’ public speaking and leadership skills, and as director of the event coordination committee for PLACES (Pre-Law Advocates for Community Engagement and Service), FIU’s pre-law student organization supporting future legal professionals. These roles have strengthened her communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Lucia enjoys traveling and reading. She looks forward to the opportunities ahead as she continues her journey toward law school and a future career in corporate law.
