We’re proud to announce that we have obtained a $77,000 jury verdict for our client in a case involving claims for a fraudulent lien.
The case involved a longtime, Miami-based businessman and commercial real estate developer on claims for a fraudulent lien under Florida Statutes 713.31, for work the defendant never performed on the project. The case also included counts for tortious interference with business relationships based on the fraudulent lien.
The $77,000 jury verdict more than doubled the client’s initial $25,000 recovery goal, underscoring our firm’s ability to materially outperform client expectations in high-stakes commercial disputes.
As stated by attorney Eion Oosterban who tried the case, “We’re very happy with the verdict. It was more than we were initially expecting. We will also pursue our legal fees pursuant to Florida Statutes 713.31.”
