Critical New Development: Ayala Law Expands Investigation Into Revival Animal Health Products After Feline Milk Replacer Recall

Ayala Law is continuing its investigation into potential claims involving Revival Animal Health, LLC following a new voluntary recall of the company’s feline milk replacer products.

The development comes as we represent Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. in a pending class action lawsuit against Revival Animal Health in the Circuit Court of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County, Florida related to its canine milk replacer products.

The lawsuit, Case No. CACE-26-013252, was filed individually and on behalf of others similarly situated and seeks class representation. The current Complaint asserts claims for strict products liability based on a design defect and manufacturing defect, negligence, breach of express warranty, and breach of implied warranty of merchantability.

New Recall Raises Additional Concerns

On August 26, 2026, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a notice concerning Revival Animal Health’s voluntary recall of its Breeder’s Edge and Shelter’s Choice feline milk replacers.

According to the FDA, the recalled feline products were found to contain low levels of potassium, copper, folic acid, choline and/or pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6. The recalled products include multiple sizes of Shelter’s Choice Feline Milk Replacer and Breeder’s Edge Foster Care Feline Milk Replacer.

The FDA notice states that Revival is investigating several complaints involving potential gastrointestinal and bone-development issues. It also states that the recall followed third-party testing that suggested a possible nutrient deficiency in one lot, followed by Revival’s own confirmatory testing of multiple lots.

The Existing Class Action

The pending class action, brought by Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, arises from the organization’s purchase and use of Revival’s canine milk replacer products. According to the Complaint, Saving Sage began using the product in March 2026, after which several puppies experienced significant health deterioration and died. The Complaint alleges that the milk replacer contained inconsistent levels of Vitamin D and that the products were defective and unreasonably dangerous.

Now, Feline Products Are Also Under Investigation

The August 2026 feline recall brings another category of Revival products into focus. Unlike the existing class action, which presently concerns the canine and GM products identified in the Complaint, the feline products are the subject of a new investigation by Ayala Law.

Ayala Law is investigating whether individuals, animal rescues, organizations, and others who purchased or used the recalled feline milk replacers may have claims arising from the products and the circumstances surrounding the recall.

The potential significance is particularly important for organizations caring for neonatal and young animals. The FDA’s recent recall notice specifically instructs consumers to stop feeding the recalled feline products to kittens.
