Were You Charged by YouFit Health Clubs After Canceling? Ayala Law Is Taking Action

By October 4, 2024No Comments

Ayala Law has recently filed a class action lawsuit against YouFit Health Clubs, accusing them of wrongfully charging membership fees even after consumers clearly canceled their memberships.ย

The Case Against YouFit Health Clubsย

The plaintiff signed up for a membership at YouFit for access to its gym facilities. In 2018, they went in person to their local YouFit location, to cancel their membership. They filled out YouFitโ€™s official cancellation form, which was signed by an authorized representative of the gym. This form confirmed that their membership had ended and that they would not be charged for future invoices.ย

Despite all of this, YouFit continued to charge the plaintiffโ€™s account long after they canceled, accumulating hundreds of dollars in wrongful charges every year.ย

Why This Class Action Mattersย

YouFitโ€™s actions represent more than just an administrative oversight; they are an unfair practice affecting countless customers who trusted that their membership cancellations would be honored. This resulted in thousands of dollars being wrongfully taken from former YouFit members.ย
